I love dogs. And i love dog stories. This one is unique, told from the dog's point of view. During the reading and translating i put down the book now and then, and a particular face came to mind. The expectant face of a black and white stray dog who approached me as i was sitting at a street food place. Tail wagging, he sat at my feet, waiting for scraps, his eyes sparkling, his mouth curled up in a doggie smile. Some dogs, despite the harsh life they lead, never lose faith in humans; some simply give up after awhile. The dog in this story almost gave up. But he found the right human at the right time. A touching story with a happy end.

Aku mendekat dan naik ke pangkuan Susan sambil mendesah berat. Bertahun-tahun silam kupikir hidupku akan utuh kalau aku bisa menemukan Bone kembali. Tapi aku tidak menemukan dia. Ibu juga sudah tiada, begitu pula Moon, dan aku telah memutuskan hidup sendirian pun tak apa. Kemudian aku menemukan Susan.
